The ingredient evidence

Anti-puffiness tetrapeptide (acetyl tetrapeptide-5)

Clinically dosed — at the level used in the study

An anti-oedema tetrapeptide that reduces the fluid build-up behind under-eye puffiness by improving lymphatic drainage and capillary permeability.

Clinical result Figure
Volunteers with visibly reduced puffiness at day 60 95%
Volunteers already improved at day 15 70%
Showed good improvement (highest grade) 35%
Showed fairly good improvement 30%

Method: 20 female volunteers; cream applied twice daily for 60 days; reduction in eyebag puffiness graded by a dermatologist on a 4-point scale at days 0, 15, 30, 45 and 60. Supplier clinical study of the ingredient; not conducted on the finished Osmotics product.

Dark-circle peptide complex

Clinically dosed — above the level used in the study

Targets the haemoglobin-derived pigment deposits that give under-eye circles their red and blue tint.

Clinical result Figure
Decrease in red pigmentation (Δa*) — in 70% of subjects -19.5%
Decrease in blue pigmentation (Δb*) — in 60% of subjects -19%

Method: 22 volunteers; cream-gel containing the active applied twice daily for 56 days; instrumental colorimetry of the under-eye area. Supplier clinical study of the ingredient; not conducted on the finished Osmotics product. The Under Eye Rejuvenator carries it above the level the study used.
